Connecting eBay

eBay orders land in the same Orders table as the rest of your channels, so profit and margin are calculated the same way everywhere.

How to connect

1. Go to Integrations and click Connect on the eBay tile
2. Sign in to eBay and authorise Shopimize
3. You are returned to Shopimize and the first sync starts

There are no keys to copy or paste. eBay access tokens are short-lived, so Shopimize refreshes them at the start of every sync — you should not have to reconnect under normal use.

What syncs

Orders, final value fees, promoted-listing costs and buyer details. Cancelled orders are skipped.

Fee amounts come from eBay's Finances API. When eBay has not yet published the transaction record for an order, Shopimize stores an estimate and replaces it with the real figure on a later sync, so very recent orders can shift slightly.

Your account's eBay marketplace decides which site's orders are pulled. It defaults to the US marketplace.

Where eBay fees appear

eBay's marketplace fees are stored in the same field as Stripe and PayPal processing fees. Look for them under Costs → Fees rather than expecting a separate eBay line.

One thing to watch: if you have created a payment-method rule matching eBay under Settings → Commissions, that rule wins over the fee eBay actually reported. Delete the rule if you would rather use eBay's real figures.

Shipping costs on eBay orders

eBay gives Shopimize neither a carrier name nor a parcel weight, so an eBay order cannot be matched to a carrier-specific rate. Only a default rate table under Costs → Shipping will apply to it.

Without a default rate, new eBay orders arrive with a shipping cost of zero and their profit is overstated. Setting one is the single most useful thing to do after connecting.
